Self Assessment Baldrige Examiner Training

The Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence provide a systems perspective for understanding performance management. They reflect validated, leading-edge management practices against which an organization can measure itself. With their acceptance nationally and internationally as the model for performance excellence, the Criteria represent a common language for communication among organizations for sharing best practices.

WEDNet Indonesia provides training and certification for internal Baldrige Examiners. Internal, certified examiners provide organizations with skilled resources for performing objective, unbiased internal performance assessments, providing feedback and leading the transformation efforts. This highly effective curriculum teaches individuals how to effectively utilize  Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence to examine organizations, provide feedback and drive performance improvement efforts. This highly interactive training/workshop involves 3 days of intense training/workshop, exercises and examinations. Participants will also be provided a step-by-step guidelines for conducting assessments and managing the performance improvement process.

Facilitator     :

Bachtiar Simamora, M.Sc, Ph.D. President director of PT.WEDNet Indonesia, first Baldrige Examiner and  an original Certified Baldrige Examiner from MBNQA, NIST, USA. He start his career as researcher at National Institute of Sciences of Indonesia in 1985. While studying, he worked part-time as researcher and analysts at the World-Bank, Washington DC. USA. Upon his completion of Masters in Operations Research and PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management, he joined Bandung Graduate School of Management (STMB) Bandung as Senior Faculty member and Management Partner. He also served as Dept. Head of School of Telecommunication Engineering (STTTelkom) before he concentrates on consulting works that focus on implementation of Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. He has conducted many Baldrige Training including several batches of Examiner Training in Cooperation with TQI Inc. USA. He has also conducted several Baldrige Executive Briefing and seminar for awareness and buying-in. In April 2004, he is one of the speaker at National Executive Seminar on Baldrige Criteria attended by more than 200s top management of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). He serves as Examiner Team member and Team Leader to Telkom since 2001 using the Criteria. He has provided consultancy to organization for designing, preparing, and implementing using Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. In 2005, he worked with USAID project at The Supreme Audit Institution of Republik of Indonesia ( BPK RI) Strategic Planning to transform and improve overall BPK's performance using Baldrige Criteria as framework. He provides consultancy and assistance to minister of Industry in the planning of adoption of the Criteria to industries organization in Indonesia.
